Session of eSummit
WIDA is delighted to announce its online eSummit learning opportunity. This program is open to all domestic WIDA Consortium Members, including federal agencies, state governments, and territories. The 2020 Edition of WIDA ELD will be the focus of this year's WIDA eSummit. For more information, please visit the WIDA eSummit Page.
WIDA staff, educators, experts and others will speak at the eSummit. Viet Thanh Nayen was a finalist in the PEN/Faulkner Award and a Pulitzer Prize Winner. Other sessions will cover topics of interest to educators of K-12 multilingual students. WIDA eSummit presentations by WIDA staff, as well as social media updates will be included.

Requirements for registration
WIDA Annual Conference launched in 2013. It has since traveled to many other cities throughout the country. 600 participants attended the first conference. There was a long waitinglist. The conference attracts more than 1000 attendees today. Register on the WIDA site to register for this conference. This year's theme is Educating Diverse Learners: Building Communities of Practice. Keynote speaker
WIDA conference, the premier event for educators is Viet Thanh Nguyen. She is a Pulitzer Prize winning author, Dayton Literary Peace Prize finalist as well as a professor at University of Southern California. WIDA eConference session will focus on the conference theme. It is designed for educators working with multilingual students in K-12. WIDA English language development standards framework will also be showcased. Participants can choose from five concurrent sessions within each block.
The WIDA conference will also feature online presentations, curated sessions, and post-event access to recordings. The WIDA eConference will also feature a spotlight session on parent outreach. WIDA's featured educator program will showcase outstanding colleagues from classrooms, districts, and states. WIDA will host key note speakers as well as educational leaders via our Featured educator program.

Video Library Conference
The Video Library conference will provide an opportunity for library professionals to share knowledge and best practices to advance the field of video reference. Using this digital platform attendees can view conference footage from any PC/Mac, iDevice/web browser. Participants don't need any special hardware to view the videos. In addition, they can share their online credentials easily with other library colleagues. You can also access the conference program using the video library's detailed instructions.
On October 13, 2019, the PLA celebrated its 75th birthday and will continue to commemorate its history in 2020. It released an Anniversary video that featured stories from members. A fundraising campaign has been launched to fund 15 scholarships for 2020's Video Library Conference. The scholarship recipients are library school students, early-career librarians, and support personnel. In addition, the organization has developed two new initiatives with Microsoft to support library staff and expand professional development. The PLA supports libraries in their growth and development through many initiatives.
